With absolutely AMAZING fall weather and a great forecast for this weekend, we have put together a couple of recommended rides between 20 – 50 miles. We have ridden all three and think that you will enjoy them thoroughly.
Below is the weekend forecast:
To go on our typical 25+ mile Friday employee ride around Lake Independence, click here: http://beta.mapmyride.com/routes/detail/24305174/
This features rolling hills on Hamel Rd.
For Kevin’s favorite 50 mile route that tours the country and Elm Creek Park Reserve, click here: http://beta.mapmyride.com/routes/detail/24322986/
This route has excellent shoulders, well maintained roads, and some great fall riding northwest of the shop.
For those who like to ride the city trails, along the Mississippi River, and through Minneapolis, try out this route that starts at the shop and heads East.
My favorite part of this is stopping for a fresh scone at Isles Bun and Coffee near Lake of the Isles towards the middle of the ride. This is an excellent 50 miler from the shop and a great way to kick off the weekend with some friends. Most of the roads selected do not have any congestion minus the short stretch on Hennepin downtown. However, if you are riding in the morning, this shouldn’t be an issue anyways .
